More About Toro
Within a few years, there were Toro turf maintenance machines on most major US and European courses.
After producing tank and cannon components during World War Two, Toro entered the rotary mower market, making its presence felt with the development of wind tunnel housing and later expanding into snowthrowers, ride-on lawn tractors and even automatic irrigation systems which today are sold worldwide. Investment in product development continues to keep Toro at the forefront of turf maintenance technology as it strives to innovate and provide quality solutions.
Focussing on anticipation of customers' needs, Toro also works closely with trade associations and actively participates in the education of golf greekeepers. Its strong network of highly skilled dealers and distributors in more than 70 countries give a localised service with cross company training a priority to ensure quality and excellence are maintained. In Europe, marketing support, technical services and sales back-up are centralised in the UK, whilst a comprehensively stocked warehouse in Holland ensures fast and efficient delivery of all parts throughout Britain and the continent.
In addition to a personal, face-to-face service, Toro also provides operator videos for all its products; manuals in paper and CD format covering services, maintenance and parts; and on-site training for all operators and service technicians.
The company set a new precedent at the beginning of 1997 by introducing the first two-year warrenty in the industry on all its commercial products and is proud to have achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 certification at its manufacturing and business premises. Whether it is cutting edge technology or a comprehensive quality service, Toro is committed to maintaining its leadership in turf maintenance worldwide.
